A Word

***Wacken 2018 - view from the Jägermeister Deer

Live gigs are essential. Remembering them is sometimes even more fun (but writing tedious ;-). Short stories about great gigs - and the others as well. This is strictly non-commercial and just my humble taste/opinion.

26 April 1996

Laibach I

Location: Szene Wien, Hauffgasse 26, 1110 Vienna, Austria
If you want to see something completely different, then always consider Laibach. Yes, there has been much playback, but the show is it worth it.

Look at this fancy ticket - back in 1996, Szene Wien even did not produce band tickets!

Buddies: Michaela, Flyingsheep
Score: 3 out of 5
Go again: Might be interesting

Laibach are very controversial, and so can be opinions about their live performance. Well, not entirely life, there is much from tape. Imagine three angel-like guardians on stage that perform (fake) trumpets, (fake) drums and (fake) vocals. In between singer and mastermind Milan Fras. You need to take it at least a bit funny, then it's just perfect entertainment.

Szene Wien is quite sold out. Laibach playes everything until their NATO CD, many of the classics (Live is Live, Final Countdown, One Vision). I think that everybody enjoys it. Still, the existence of much playback is a bit annoying.
