Merchandize: a rather ugly t-shirt in military green with blood stainsAnother gig? Absolutely!
Not very often do support acts impress me if I don't know them before. Flyleaf o. Not because of their stage performance (actually it's too much action, especially the bassist jumping from the monitor speakers endlessly, leaves the impression that his playing cannot be that challenging). It's their first album that conveyed nicely in this live performance. And at the end, a very impressive cover of 'Something I Can Never Have'. Since then I enjoy listening to Flyleaf, especially their first album (and of course the mentioned NIN cover). I do not care about their religious ambitions, as long as it does not negatively impact the music. Still it's fascinating also from that perspective that they support Korn.Korn is ... Korn. It begins with the ceremony of revealing the microphone designed by Mr. Giger. The gig does not disappoint me in any respect. This drop-tuned guitar sound, this unique bassist, and of course Jonathan Davis' voice&performance. One drawback is that we are a bit too far away from the stage, but before us, the die-hard fans make sure that I am not very motivated to move a bit further. The other thing is the not-so-perfect sound, which can be a problem in Gasometer. But all in all a very good gig.
